Who doesn't know the wails and screams of Palestinian people. Who can stay unaware of the erect unfathomable and visible horrors through which Palestinian people go every single day of their lives. The answer is, "Nobody". As it is said, "You don't need to be a Muslim, a Jew, a Hindu or all alone an Atheist to recognize the basic human rights violation of Palestinians at the hand of Israelis. You just need to be a "human being". Whenever, a calamity befalls a nation or a sweltering crowd of human beings, only "humanity" suffers and if the word "humanity" is scratched further, we behold children suffering the most. Innocent, tired and frightened children. The light of their eyes snatched and dragged onto the rough unpaved streets before them. Their gleaming eyeballs bearing witness to thousands of stories untold, songs unheard and sights least describable. Amidst of all this chaos and myriad of confusion, humanity stands stalemate refusing to move as heaps of bodies mount up beside it. Afraid to raise its voice, fearing to speak up, unable to comprehend the situation. I'm one among all those people. I confess I've failed in playing my part in righting the wrongs but still at least I've refused to give up entirely, the lowest of task one can do in this scenario I presume. In this context, I've written a poem specifically for the children of Palestine. I hope this modest piece of my work will, at least, for a fraction of second, make you stop and think about the veterans of grief and pain who have started to wear their pain as an armor over their bodies in which there's nothing left but hope. Bare, naked and cold HOPE! I hope you like it!
